ReA Sevan Naccash Scholarship

5 years ago, ReAnimania established "ReA Animation Scholarship" due to bilateral agreement with Ecole des Métiers du Cinéma d'Animation(EMCA), and in 2018 the festival renamed the scholarship to ReA Naccash Scholarship in memory of artist, animator Sevan Naccashian. Sevan Naccashian was a committed artist that did everything to enrich and evolve art in Armenia, as well as support families in need. Naccashian was one of the initial supporters to ReAnimania. In cooperation with Naccashian’s family, ReAnimania is prepared to launch the ReA Naccash Scholarship to help young artists reach their dreams.

Sevan Naccashian’s passion to provide each child a chance to practice art brought her to one of the bordering villages of Armenia, Vazashen. In Vazashen, a village in Ijevan that borders only 900 meters away from Azerbaijan, Naccashian established her art school, despite all difficulties.

Within ReA Naccash Scholarship, ReAnimania will cover the tuition for one month of animation school in Angoulême , France at École des Métiers du Cinéma d’Animation (EMCA). The French Embassy covers travel expenses and the Naccahsian family will  provide a symbolic amount  for accommodation or daily expenses.

Submit Application For 2018/19

Applications must be sent from October 17 till October 28 by midnight.

Note: All students who apply to these two scholarships are also required to attend the festival’s closing ceremony, during which the names of the two winning young animators will be announced.
